Slingerland Custom COS 10-lug Festival Snare Drum

I buy and restore snare drums, and never make a profit when I sell them. I am very proud of this one. This is a Slingerland COS Festival snare drum from the 60s-70s. To cut down on unwanted overtones, I applied several coats of an automotive sealant to the inside of the shell. I replaced its worn-out Rapid Strainer with a new, better, Ludwig P85. It fit perfectly and no additional holes were needed. Even though the chrome finish is in very good condition, I decided to cover the drum with a blue-white marine wrap, to give it a classic look. It can easily be removed, if you want it that way. I am willing to remove the wrap myself, and sell it for a somewhat lower price, but you'll have to contact me on that. The photo of the unwrapped snare is of this one, taken before I bought it. This has Remo Ambassador heads and Tama snare wires. I spent well over a hundred hours on this project. The sound is wonderful! It now sounds like a cross between wood and metal, and weighs over 10 pounds! Free shipping. Reasonable offers accepted.
