1969-71 Slingerland 13,16,22 in Blue Sain Flame

This month I was fortunate enough to have been able to purchase about a third of Kerry Meads instruments and percussion items. Kerry Meads was an exceptional drummer and percussionist who recently passed away. Kerry played percussion professionally in the Orchestras on Broadway, The New York Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall and the Boston Pops. He played for local Pennsylvania bands in carnivals, fairs and festivals. He also played on cruises and music tours throughout the United States and Europe over the years.

Here is his 1969-71 Slingerland 9x13, 16x16, 14x22 drum set in Blue Satin Flame. Extremely clean maple interiors. Original white coated Slingerland top tom heads and bass drum heads. Bass is a tad lighter in color on the top and there are a few relatively minor discolorations on the floor tom. Very few scratches on the satin and no checking or other issues. Very fine good condition, from smoke free environment.

Hello, I may be interested in these drums, but the grey discoloration on the floor tom is disturbing, and I think more prevalent than your description. Can it be removed? I live in Northwestern NJ. You're in Carlisle, PA?

Yes, I'm in Carlisle right next to the Car Shows. I tried the stain with some fantasik but it did nothing. Can't tell if it's rub rash or a stain. The rest of the set looks to have minimum wear, no pearl cracking or checking which is usually quite typical. Strange, Thanks Ting

If that stain isn't removable, I'll have to pass. It just looks bad to me. Thanks.
