1940s Slingerland Radio King 13 & 16 toms

This month I was fortunate enough to have been able to purchase about a third of Kerry Meads instruments and percussion items. Kerry Meads was a fine drummer and percussionist that recently passed away. Kerry played percussion professionally in the orchestras on Broadway; The New York Philharmonic; Carnegie Hall and the Boston Pops. He played for local Pennsylvania bands in carnivals, fairs, and festivals. He also played on cruises & music tours throughout the United States and Europe over the years.
Here is his 1940s Slingerland Radio King drums. ( I also have a marble lacquer set of his that I will be posting this month). 9x13 and 16x16 toms. Exceptionally clean interiors, no extra holes, Very Very clean hardware, 2 engraved Radio King rims. 3 original calf heads. They have been wrapped in a white ash or white oak matte finish. Very unique look. Excellent condition, from a smoke free environment..
