This is a vintage Chinese tacked skin head tom tom with a traditional painting of a Rooster on one head and a dragon on the other. The Rooster and the dragon images are very clear, The heads are in remarkably good shape, especially considering this is a hundred year old drum. The red paint on the shell has worn away in places. Two tacks are missing but doesn't affect keeping the head attached. The drum sounds good, or at least as good as these old Chinese tom toms can sound. Structurally and playability wise this drum is in good shape. There are holes for a mounting brackets, so it was probably mounted on a bass drum. Its big brother is in another listing.
