Up for sale is a very nice Vintage 1980s Sabian HH 17" Thin Crash cymbal weighing in at 1117 grams. This is a very thin hand hammered 17" Thin Crash with a nice hammered bell. The hammering is exceptional and creates a dark and complex crash sound, ending with a nice dark warm sustain. This cymbal was handpicked by the cymbal's owner for being "dark and washy" at the Sabian factory right after they started producing the Sabian HH models in the 1980s. This is a very uncommon cymbal, especially for being a 1980s Sabian HH 17" Thin Crash with no cracks or fleabites. There is some patina, a bit of ovaling at the hole (look at the photos) but overall the cymbal finish is in very good condition.
Photos were taken in the direct and indirect light to show color/finish, hammering and lathing. There are some reflections and shadows that are not in the finish.
Check out my other listing for lots more Vintage 1980s Sabian cymbals; We have several of these 17" crashes in different weights. We also have Sabian HH hi hats, crashes, rides and a Chinese cymbal in great condition.
