up for sale is a very nice Vintage 1980s Sabian HH 18" Thin Crash cymbal weighing in at at light 1354 grams. The hand hammering is exceptional and creates a dark and complex crash sound with a nice dark sustain. The bell has some hammering and has lots of character. This cymbal was handpicked by the cymbal's owner for being "dark and washy" at the Sabian factory right after they started producing the Sabian HH models in the 1980s. This is very reminiscent of the EAKs from the same era. This is a very uncommon cymbal, especially for being a thin Sabian HH 18" THIN crash with no cracks, keyholes or fleabites. There is some patina in the traditional finish but overall the cymbal finish is in very good condition.
Photos were taken in the direct and indirect light to show color/finish, hammering and lathing. There are some reflections and shadows that are not in the finish.
