Up for sale is an excellent Vintage 1980s Sabian HH 18" Medium Thin Crash cymbal with 3 rivets weighing in at 1443 grams. The hand hammering is exceptional and creates a dark and complex crash sound with a nice warm sizzle on the sustain. The bell has some hammering and has lots of character. This cymbal was handpicked by the cymbal's owner for being "dark and washy" at the Sabian factory right after they started producing the Sabian HH models in the 1980s. This is very reminiscent of the EAKs from the same era. This is a very uncommon cymbal with lots of life left in it. There is some patina in the traditional finish but overall the cymbal finish is in very good condition. There are no cracks, keyholing or fleabites on this cymbal.
Photos were taken in the direct and indirect light to show color/finish, hammering and lathing. There are some reflections and shadows that are not in the finish.
Check out my other listing for lots more Vintage 1980s Sabian cymbals. We also have Sabian HH hi hats, crashes, rides and a Chinese cymbal in great condition.
Shipping to the lower 48 United States only.

8 months agoMissed out on the EAK 18” you had listed. Would this work as a left side ride or is it too thin and washy? I need something with good stick definition as it will be a ride more than crash. Any further discount on price? I know you just lowered it but thought I’d ask.
