for sale is an excellent Vintage 1980s Sabian HH 20" Medium Ride cymbal weighing in at 2057 grams. The hand hammering is exceptional and creates a dark and complex crash sound. The bell has some hammering and has lots of character. This is a thinner 20" cymbal and would fall into the Crash/Ride category in the modern cymbal market. The "Medium" ink stamp is faded but barely visible under the engraved Sabian stamp. The ink stamps of the bottom of the cymbal are clear. This cymbal was handpicked by the cymbal's owner for being "dark and washy" at the Sabian factory right after they started producing the Sabian HH models in the 1980s. This is very reminiscent of the EAKs from the same era. This is a very uncommon cymbal with lots of life left in it. The hole is ovaling a bit but there are no cracks. There is one 1/8" edge ding (see multiple photos taken from different angles). There is some patina in the traditional finish but overall the cymbal finish is in very good condition.
Photos were taken in the direct and indirect light to show color/finish, hammering and lathing. There are some reflections and shadows that are not in the finish.
