Up for sale is a nice 1980s Zildjian 20" Heavy Ride weighing in at 2697 grams. No cracks or fleabites on this beauty of a cymbal but there is some slight keyholing (see photos). There is some tarnish on the bottom from fingerprints. The factory K Zildjian stamp, and the "Heavy Ride" ink stamp are upside down, on top (see photos). Photos were taken in indirect and direct light to show the hand hammering and fine lathing. This appears to be an EAK 1980s Heavy Ride cymbal judging from the light hammering on the low profile bell, the fine lathing, the and the large K on both sides..
This cymbal has great stick articulation. The 20" diameter and weight makes for a darker wash, but the slightly hammered low-profile bell is clear and articulate. The stick definition is excellent.
Online description;
" K models made when US manufacturing of K’s began in 1982, and is a solid, all-around ride choice for any gig. Standard K Rides feature a traditional randomized hammer pattern, very low curvature, and is made today with a smooth lathing for a little extra give. Its mid-range weight provides solid stick clarity, while also retaining great low crash".
