Up for sale is an amazing 1980s Zildjian 20" K Ride weighing in at a nice 2535 grams. No cracks or fleabites but there is some minor keyholing as shown in the photos. There are a few areas where the patina is slightly inconsistent which is typical of this era of Earl American K, 1982-1988, traditional finish Rides. There are areas of the bottom of the cymbal that look like brilliant finish, while the rest of the cymbal is traditional finish. The K logo is worn off the top, but the ink is prevalent on the bottom. There are areas of discoloration but nothing major in the patina of the cymbal; look at the photos for finish. This is an absolute stunning example of an EAK 20" Ride. The fundamental pitch is low and clear. The bell is very low in height but retains lots of character and clarity, the wash is dark but still has excellent stick definition while retaining it's Vintage 1980s K character.
Online description;
"The Zildjian 20″ K Ride Cymbals is one of the first K models made when US manufacturing of K’s began in 1982, and is a solid, all-around ride choice for any gig. Standard K Rides feature a traditional randomized hammer pattern, very low curvature, and is made today with a smooth lathing for a little extra give. Its mid-range weight provides solid stick clarity, while also retaining great low crash".
