My criteria for using the word RARE or ULTRA RARE is that in my 44 years of owning, collecting and dealing in vintage drums, if I have not ever seen a particular item or cannot find it in my extensive catalog collection, then I consider it rare. Here is what I deem to be a very very early cymbal tilter. Measuring 12" tall, this tilter doesn't appear to be used on top of a cymbal stand, although you could use it that way, but can be used on a hoop mount cowbell mount with the standard 3/8" shaft located a few inches from the bass drum hoop.. This would enable you to mount the cowbell unit on the front bass drum hoop and use the tilter for a ride cymbal in the standard position of such a cymbal. It is in IMMACULATE condition and so unique that if it doesn't sell I will probably put it on one of my 1930s sets. From a smoke free environment.
