i'm a career drummer, having played on over 2000 records, along with tv, movies, and tours. still doing it after all these years. most of my work now is in my home studio in los angeles. i collect vintage drums. not really collectors' pieces, but players. i now have around 40 snare drums. most of my favorites are 1920s brass ludwig snares. i use them for gigs and sessions all the time, along with mostly 60s ludwig or 70s gretsch kits. i don't really look for vintage drums, they seem to find me. i enjoy restoring them, as well.
